My mother-in-law, Mama Beck, has descended upon NYC to see our new digs and spend some time with us. I’m excited to do a few things that I wouldn’t typically do because I live here. It’s such an un-cool excuse to not go to the museums & generally explore the splendor of this awesome city. So, we’re gonna!
This morning we walked down from Houston, past our old apartment, and went to spin with my favorite instructor at NYHRC, Felicia. She is a beast. Three children (18, 15, and 10) and could school most anyone on the bike. But today our class was overly full by one so she had me ride the instructor bike. I can’t make this stuff up folks. Instructor bike, red spotlight, and Mama Beck all in one. We had so much fun!
Now we’re off to find some food and maybe do a litttttle bit of shopping. On a work day! (The equivalent to perfection.)
Tonight we are on the wait list for a Spring card making workshop at Paper Source in SoHo. Apparently we would get to use some new tools, which I think includes embossing & glitter, so it is safe to assume they will be nothing short of spectacular. And it just sort of feeds my obsession with snail mail.
I wouldn’t say my motivation to go to Paper Source is unpure, but I have also been harboring the intense desire for one of these Rifle Paper Co iPhone cases so I may be walking out with a little more than some homemade cards. Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you, Paul.
I hope you are all having a great day!
